Meet the Photographer - Margaret Nissen
I am a local photographer passionate about capturing children’s portraits. I have been photographing children in this style for almost a decade. No cheesy backgrounds, no forced smiles. I want to photograph you child in a way that helps their personality shine thorough, providing school photos that are true and timeless.
My school photography provides all the same services that the large studios do - but my photos are more genuine, and my communication more personal. If this sounds like is something that you would like to provide to the families at your school, let’s start the conversation!

Create a Plan
Together we plan school photo day. I may come by to see the space where I will be photographing the kids. I will provide you with a parent letter, tips for what to wear, and gallery details.

Photo Day
Typically these are done first thing in the morning! I want to photograph the kids as close to when they arrive at school as possible! Especially the youngest ones!

Gallery Delivery
Photo galleries will be sent out either via online link, or individual galleries directly to parents - depending on your needs.

What exactly is fine art school photography?

I aim to provide a boutique experience, where children can naturally be themselves - resulting in timeless, authentic images. I spend a few minutes with each child, never forcing a smile, or suggesting awkward poses. Each child is delivered multiples images - so the families get to choose the photos they want to purchase or print.
Do you photograph other ages besides preschool?

Yes, I can! I just specialize in preschool aged children. Reach out and we can see if I would be a good fit for your school!
What services do you offer?

I can offer all the same services the large photo companies do, just with a more personal approach. My schools receive online galleries with both color and black and white images of each child. Families have the option to order prints or digitals directly from their gallery.
Are the prints and digitals expensive?

My prices are competitive, and there are a variety of prints and packages to choose from. I also have digital image packages if someone prefers to save and print them on their own.
