NAPA NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER
Newborn photography for parents who want relaxed, baby-led images in the comfort of your own home — so you remember them exactly as they are right now.
Welcome!
I’m Margaret, though most people call me Margy!
My love for newborn photography began when my sister had her two boys. From the beginning, I felt drawn to capturing those tiny fingers, sleepy stretches, and the way they changed so quickly completely stole my heart. Those early days pass in a blur, and I realized just how meaningful it is to preserve them.
Newborns grow and change in the blink of an eye. The delicate details deserve to be remembered forever. I believe documenting your baby’s first days or weeks are one of the most beautiful ways to hold time still.
“Margy made us feel comfortable in an unpredicted season of life! She captured our son exactly as he is - perfect and in our arms.” - Haley

FAQs
How do I prepare my home for the photoshoot?
1
Please don’t overthink this and feel like you have to rage clean, or rearrange all the furniture. You just had a baby! I use rooms with the best light, and will bring off camera lighting for rooms that are too dark. I can move anything out of the photos that I think will be distracting to the images. I think part of having in home newborn photos is showing the place you brought them home to - documenting this part of your story, and trust me, that usually includes a lived in home.
What if my baby doesn't want to be put down the whole time?
2
That is completely ok, I often do entire sessions where the parents are holding the baby the whole time. That doesn’t mean we don’t get photos of the baby alone. The more relaxed the parents are, the baby tends to follow.
Do you use props and poses?
3
I do not bring any props, and I do not wrap and place the baby in unnatural positions. If there are special blankets or swaddles you would like to include, we can absolutely use those in the photos!
Can siblings join?
4
Of course! It is my goal to include the whole family - no matter what that looks like. Some siblings want to be included the whole time, some just like to pop in for a few family ones, and one or two with their new brother or sister. Pets are always welcome as well - whatever your are comfortable with.
